Costa Nova is a premium Portuguese brand known for its handcrafted stoneware, blending rustic elegance with durable functionality. Born from Grestel ceramics in 1998 and officially launched in 2006, it draws inspiration from the coastal village of Costa Nova, famous for its colorful striped houses and Mediterranean charm.
Crafted in Vagos, Portugal, Costa Nova products are made from locally sourced clays (kaolin, feldspar, silica) and fired at 1180 °C using a single- firing technique. This creates fully vitrified, chip-resistant pieces that are microwave, oven, freezer, and dishwasher safe.
Today, Costa Nova is present in over 40 countries, widely used in upscale hospitality settings and admired for both its artisanal beauty and performance under pressure. Costa Nova’s collections feature organic shapes, textured finishes, and natural hues, making them a favorite in fine dining restaurants, boutique hotels and luxury resorts.
